First Use

First-Time Setup

After completing installation and account registration, follow these steps to configure your first launch.

1. Select Audio Devices

   • Playback Device: The software plays test signals through the operating system’s default output device. Select the playback device via system settings.
   • Recording Device: Select your measurement microphone.

   Device list empty?

   If the device list is empty, please check your system privacy settings — the software requires microphone authorization to work properly.

2. Verify the Measurement Path

   1. Click the “Play” button in the “Signal Generator” panel — you should hear test tones from your speakers.
   2. Click “Start Analysis” and observe the real-time spectrum analyzer (RTA) window for signal input.

3. You’re All Set

   You are now ready to take your first measurement. Next, you may want to try:

   • Spectrum Analysis — Learn about real-time spectrum measurement
   • Transfer Function Measurement — Perform system frequency response analysis
   • AutoEQ Smart Calibration — Automatic equalization calibration

   Tip

   It is recommended to take measurements in a quiet environment during first use for more accurate results.
